Make Summer Memories in Studio
Testbourne Community School Awards Night As well as being a Newborn and Family Photographer in Whitchurch, Hampshire, I am a proud Mum and I was honoured to attend the Testbourne Community School Awards Night. Not only did I attend as a sponsor of the Art certificate,...
Ten Years Through the Lens: A Heartfelt Reflection It’s hard to believe it’s been ten years since I picked up my camera. What began as a simple hobby — just me, my camera, and my then 2-year-old Grace — slowly grew into the heartfelt career I have today. I still smile...
5 Beautiful Lessons from being a Newborn & Family Photographer. After photographing hundreds of newborns, toddlers, cake-covered one-year-olds, and gorgeous families over the years, I’ve seen a lot. And if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this: babies,...
Easter Holidays: A glowing review of the past 2 weeks School holidays can go one of two ways: magical memory-making OR total emotional carnage involving snacks, bickering and someone crying in the bathroom (usually me). But I’m thrilled to report that this Easter,...
Top 5 Highlights of 2025. As I reflected on the year in my previous post. I realised just how many moments made 2025 special. Here are a few that truly stood out. From tiny newborn yawns to big family laughs. 2025 was filled with connection, warmth, and memories worth...
As this year comes to a close, I wanted to pause and not just start looking back on 2025 and all the beautiful photos taken over the year. If you’ve read my blog this year, whether you were expecting a baby, planning a family photoshoot, or simply scrolling during a...
I love outdoor Christmas Lights, have done since I was a kid. My Mum can’t drive so when Dad would visit, he would take us for a drive so that we could see them. It was such a treat to be in Dad’s car looking at these beautiful lights.
Over the years more and more people are putting outdoor lights up. I am now one of those people! Say’s me smiling!
Dad used to call me Mrs Clause. I used to be like a big kid at Christmas. But since Dad passed away things don’t feel the same.Â
Christmas 2021, the first Christmas without him, I just went through the motions of putting the decorations up for the kids.Â
But then on News Years Eve 2021, we decided to have a BBQ and I put Christmas Lights up in the back garden and it looked so beautiful. I looked up at the black sky and I said, Dad, I hope you can see these, I hope you can see I am still trying.
The next year Mum said let’s light up my garden so your Dad can see them too, so, Christmas 2022 we had a Light Off to see who could light up our gardens the brightest. Mum won, at least that’s what I’ve let her believe LOL.
So, here we are, Christmas 2023 and with tears in my eyes I look across my garden with the extra lights I’ve bought this year and I say Dad, I’m lighting up my garden for you! I hope you can see them in heaven.
