How much does newborn photography cost in Hampshire?
The answer is that prices can vary quite a lot from photographer to photographer. Prices may reflect experience, training, session length and what is included, along with the individual photographer’s cost of doing business and expected profit.
Price is important, but I would always recommend looking at more than price alone. Choose a photographer whose work you genuinely love and who has the experience and training needed to handle newborn babies safely.
There is no statutory qualification or licence required to offer newborn photography, which is why I have always taken my own training seriously. I have been professionally trained by leading UK newborn photographers, I hold Qualified status with the Guild of Photographers in children’s portraiture, and I am fully insured.
Your baby’s safety will always be my number one priority.
How much does Newborn Photography cost in Hampshire? Here’s my newborn photography pricing
I now offer one all-inclusive newborn photography experience for £249.
That means you know exactly what your session will cost before you arrive, and you do not have to choose which photographs you can afford to keep afterwards.
What is included in the £249 newborn session?
Your £249 newborn photography session includes:
- Around 2–3 hours of studio time
- Individual newborn portraits
- Table-posed and prop photographs
- Parent and baby portraits
- Sibling photographs
- Time for feeding, changing and settling
- Use of my wraps, props and accessories
- Your full edited digital gallery
- A minimum of 20 fully edited high-resolution images
There are no extra image packages to choose from afterwards.
What if my baby does not settle?
This is one of the most common worries parents have before a newborn photoshoot. Babies do not know they have arrived for a photography session. They need milk, cuddles, changing and time to settle.
That is why my newborn sessions are not rushed.
With patience and time, babies settle enough for us to create beautiful photographs. Every baby is different, and I work around what they are comfortable with.
When should I book my newborn photoshoot?
Those final weeks of pregnancy can be a mixture of excitement, nerves and counting down the days until you finally get to meet them.
Booking your newborn session during pregnancy is simply one little thing you can have organised, knowing that once baby arrives, we will work around them and arrange the session when the time is right.
Ideally, I recommend booking your newborn session when you are around 34 weeks pregnant.
We use your due date to reserve space in my diary, and then arrange the actual session once baby has arrived.
Newborn sessions are usually arranged within the first few weeks after baby arrives, depending on how you and baby are feeling.
