What to expect from your Newborn Photo Shoot Experience

If you are expecting a baby and looking to book a Newborn Photo Shoot in Basingstoke to beautifully capture this special time with your family, I would like to tell you about the experience I offer at my studio in Whitchurch, Hampshire, conveniently located just 20 minutes from Basingstoke, Newbury, and Andover.

Welcome

When you arrive for your Newborn Photo Shoot in Basingstoke, you will come straight through the garden gate and I will be in the studio, all ready to greet you. I will introduce myself, and then I’ll probably be immediately on the floor, engaging with your toddler if you have one. I will ask you to fill in my Data Protection Form and undress the baby to the nappy. Once the baby is fed and sound asleep, we will begin, and this could take up to an hour. Don’t worry, time flies, I like to talk!

What happens next?

I always wrap the baby as it makes them feel cosy and safe. In the unlikely event baby doesn’t like being wrapped, we will move on. Your baby will never be forced into any position they don’t like; the session is completely baby-led.

We always start with the most important photo to you. Whether it be of the family, siblings, or the baby alone. If you come with a young sibling, it’s best for a parent to take them away after their photos have been taken, as newborn photo shoots in Basingstoke can take up to 3 hours, and young children could get bored. You won’t get bored though! it’s a relaxed, friendly experience.

The Poses

Family, Sibling, Huck Finn, Side Lay, Bum Up, Chin on Hands, Props and Tucked In – Let me know in the comments your favourite.

When do I see my images?

After your Newborn Photo Shoot in Basingstoke, I will send you an Online Viewing Gallery within 7 days of your session. Here, you will have 24 hours to choose your images. I aim to provide a gallery of 20 images to every client, but this may vary depending on the baby. After viewing the gallery, you will have an opportunity to upgrade your package. If you would like, I can provide quotes for prints, framed wall art, and canvases, but there is no obligation to purchase extra.

Training and Experience

When looking to book a Newborn Photographer in Basingstoke, I would recommend checking the training the photographer has received. There is no governing body for newborn photography and no safety requirements that photographers need to meet. Personally, I have undergone three newborn training sessions in the past two years, which have equipped me with the skills for the safe handling and posing of newborns. While these sessions are optional and expensive, they were my number one priority before handling your newborn.  The safety of your children during all sessions in my studio is of the utmost importance to me.

The Experience

I take pride in providing a friendly and relaxed experience for all my clients. Please take a moment to read my reviews and see what my clients have to say about their experiences.https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100066435326117&sk=reviews

I look forward to welcoming you for your Newborn Photo Shoot very soon.
