Top 5 Highlights of 2025. As I reflected on the year in my previous post. I realised just how many moments made 2025 special. Here are a few that truly stood out.

From tiny newborn yawns to big family laughs. 2025 was filled with connection, warmth, and memories worth holding on to.

Here are my top five highlights from 2025

1️ Welcoming So Many New Babies

One of the biggest highlights of the year was welcoming so many newborns into the studio. Those early days are quiet, emotional, and pass in a heartbeat.

As a newborn photographer in Basingstoke, being trusted to capture your baby’s first days is something I never take lightly. Each session had its own personality. Sleepy cuddles, tiny fingers, and parents discovering the incredible little humans they’ve brought into the world.

2️ Watching Families Return and Grow

It’s always such a joy to see families returning to the studio. Some came back with a new baby. Others with growing children full of personality and confidence.

As a family photographer in Hampshire, seeing the connections deepen and watching children become more relaxed in front of the camera is one of the most rewarding parts of the job. Every returning family reminds me why I love what I do.

3️ Seasonal Sessions Full of Personality

Each season brought its own energy:

  • Summer sessions bursting with laughter and playful energy
  • Autumn newborn shoots with warm tones and cosy textures
  • Festive Christmas sessions full of excitement and joy

As a Hampshire studio photographer, I love how the studio transforms with each season while still remaining a calm, welcoming space for families to relax and enjoy themselves.

4️ Seeing Families Relax and Enjoy the Experience

One of the highlights that never fails to make me smile is seeing parents arrive nervous and leave relaxed and happy.

Knowing that families felt comfortable, laughed together, and enjoyed the session is a reminder that photography doesn’t have to feel stressful. It can be joyful, relaxed, and fun.

5️ A Personal Reflection From This Year

2025 hasn’t always been easy. Juggling self-doubt, the ups and downs of running a business, and being a mum can feel like a constant balancing act. Some days, it’s hard to see past the stress.

But this year has also been full of little moments that made me pause, smile, and feel grateful. The end of the year is a great opportunity to look back at these moments. Especially when Christmas can feel overwhelming.

Some personal highlights include

  • Our cruise to Greece and Turkey. We took an off-road adventure up the Turkish mountains. Seeing my husband, who’s terrified of heights, make it to the top, hiding in the footwell of the jeep, was unforgettable. Even he agrees, the views were incredible, but he much preferred them on the way down lol
  • Caravan trips to Lyme Regis. Marshmallow toasting, dinghy sailing and fossil hunting.
  • Grace’s awards night at Testbourne
  • A last-minute cruise to Norway in August, with scenery so stunning it felt like a dream.
  • Welcoming our puppy, Maple, who has brought so much joy to our days.

Even though the day-to-day can feel challenging, these moments — the adventures, the laughter, and the simple joys — remind me why it’s all worth it.

Looking Ahead to 2026

As we head into a new year, I’m feeling incredibly excited for what’s ahead: more newborns, more returning families, and more moments that deserve to be remembered.

If 2026 is the year you’re ready to capture your family just as you are, I’d love to welcome you into the studio.

Whether you’re looking for a newborn photographer in Basingstoke, a family photographer, or a calm, welcoming studio photographer in Hampshire, my doors are open when you’re ready.

Here’s to another year full of beautiful memories.

See you soon, Lisa 🙂
