Recently, I had the joy of welcoming back Baby Harlow into my Whitchurch Hampshire Newborn Studio. She is now 1 year old. She brought along her 2-week-old Baby Brother Kylian. It’s heart warming to see Baby Harlow stepping into her role as a caring and loving big sister. It’s always a pleasure to welcome back repeat clients to my Whitchurch Hampshire Newborn Studio.

How it began

With Harlow being just 1 year old, Mum had relaxed expectations about how the sibling and family photos. This is great for me. As, while I always aim to capture your family with big smiles and beautiful poses. The addition of a 1-year-old who has recently learned to walk and talk introduces an element of unpredictability.

I always start by asking Mum and Dad about their number one photo. It’s crucial to prioritise the most important image. Especially when working with young children. Due to the limited time we have to keep them engaged. They decided that images of them as a new family of 4 would be the most important. They asked to duplicate an image we had taken when they came for Harlow’s Newborn Photo Shoot. I was more than happy to recreate this. As the backlit family portrait is one of my favourites in my Whitchurch Hampshire Newborn Studio.

Sibling Photos

With Harlow being so young, I knew I couldn’t take posed sibling shots. I placed Kylian in a Wooden Bed Prop and let Harlow sit casually behind him while Mum and Dad were close by (feet were edited out lol). Despite this not being my usual style, I think the images turned out incredibly cute. After Harlow’s photos were done, Dad took her for a walk. I always suggest this for younger siblings during a Newborn Photo Shoot due to the time it takes. I am lucky to have my Newborn Studio in Whitchurch Hampshire, surrounded by natural beauty. There’s a field leading to the farm just behind my studio and the river, where you can feed the ducks, is just 5 minutes away. You could even pop into the Silk Mill Coffee shop for tea and cake.

Posing Table Images

Kylian’s Newborn Photo Shoot took place on one of the hottest days of the year. I decided not to do wrapped prop images, but I managed to capture a beautiful photo of him on the bed during the Sibling Shots. We began with the Posing Table Images with Huck Finn. Then transitioned to the Side Lay. Cillian didn’t like his hands being moved too much so I moved straight onto tucked in.

The End of your Photo Shoot in my Whitchurch Hampshire Newborn Studio

Kylian’s Newborn Photo Shoot finished in 2 hours 30 minutes. Mum and Dad received a beautiful gallery of 20 Fully edited images within 7 days of their Newborn Photo Shoot. They requested a quote for mounted prints as they bought these for Harlow’s Newborn Photo Shoot but there is no obligation to purchase additional images or products.
