Fun things to do with kids this Half Term

Half term is just around the corner again! and if you’re anything like me, you’re probably wondering how to keep the kids entertained now that the weather is on the turn. Here are some suggestions for Fun things to do with kids this Half Term.

1. Nature Scavenger Hunt

How about organizing a nature scavenger hunt? You can make a list of things to find, such as a conker, a funny-shaped rock, or a specific leaf. It’s a great way for the kids to get some fresh air and explore. We will be making our way to the Big Tree behind the school in the hope of finding many conkers.

2. Baking

A day in the kitchen whipping up Spooky Cookies or Cupcakes. Let the kids help with mixing, pouring, and, of course, decorating. Just be prepared for some delicious (and messy) fun!

3. Pumpkin Patch

We’re so excited to visit Sunyfield Pumpkin Farm for the fourth year! It’s such a lovely autumn experience with lots of different pumpkins to see and buy. They even have wheelbarrows to wheel the kids around in, I mean, put the pumpkins in LOL

4. Arts and Crafts

Set up a little arts and crafts station with paints, papers, and whatever bits and bobs you have lying around. Whether it’s painting or making friendship bracelets, it’s a great way to keep them busy and spend some quality time together. The Works have lots of Halloween Craft Bits in at the moment if you want themed Craft Time.

5. Explore Historical Sites – National Trust Pass

The Vyne and Mottisfont are two outstanding National Trust sites within 30 minutes of Whitchurch, Hampshire. I highly recommend getting a National Trust pass if you don’t already have one. We only go in the house at Christmas but the grounds usually have seasonal trails for the kids to enjoy.
